Rie Kakizaki was born and raised in Japan, and earned her MA in early childhood education at Seiwa college in Japan. She has taught kindergarten for 15 years in public and private school settings, which include the Japanese immersion program at Sand Lake, Anchorage Waldorf School, and Winterberry Charter School. She is also a haiku poet, writer, hiker, potter, singer, and the mother of two sons.
Laura Krip earned her M.S.Ed in Elementary Education from University of Pennsylvania. she has taught preschool and early elementary students for more than 10 years. She is also a fiber artist who uses recycled fiber to express herself. She loves hiking and sharing her love of nature and art with children. She has completed Lifeways training in 2017.

Brenda Boese was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She graduated from Alaska Pacific University with a bachleor's degree in Business Management. After college, she spent a year in Shiga Prefecture, Japan teaching English at Taga Junior High School. She is a 3rd degree black belt at Tanaka's Martial Arts Academy where she has practiced and instructed since 1986. Brenda worked for Spenard Builders Supply for 26 years as an Administrative Manager before making a career change to join the team at Primrose Garden. She is a wife and a mother of two boys, Jesse (18) and Aiden (6).

Kikuko was born and raised in Sapporo Japan, moved to Alaska in 2015 and got married.
She was working as a accountant in Japan, also has been studying and teaching yoga for the past 15 years. She loves to workout, travel and attend performing arts invents.
Noriko Maeda was born and raised in Japan. She had worked in tourism for long time, as a tour escort, taking Japaneses groups to foreign countries for 7 years and as a tour guide in Alaska for 10 years. She has worked at Primrose since 2012 and she has completed the Lifeways training in 2016

Mari Jones was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and have been living in Alaska for 16 years. She is working as a teacher assistant for the Japanese Immersion Kindergarten. She is also a Japanese taiko drummer and instructor. She loves taiko drumming!! she enjoys activities that interacting and teaching Japanese language and culture with children. In her free time (which she doesn't have much though !) she loves to spend time with her family, traveling, Origami and cooking!

I am a senior in the Japanese immersion program at Dimond high school. I tested into the program at Sand Lake during 3rd grad and have progressed through since. It s very cool to have been a student and how become a teacher of a language + culture I have come to know so well. I also enjoy competitive swimming for high school and club seasons. I enjoy hiking, ultimate frisbee, and trail/mountain hiking as well. I plan to swim in college nest year as well as continue my students in Japanese and neuro-science in pursuit of a career in Neuropathology. I look forward to working with your kids everyday.

She was born in Japan and have lived in Anchorage for twelve years. She has an eighteen years old daughter and fourteen years old son. Her favorite things to do are cooking, singing, and sewing. She has worked at Primrose as an assistant and cook since 2012.
